Idle TV Thoughts

My recent TV musings have shifted from "Why doesn't The New Normal have a Brad Falchuk analogue for its pseudo-Glee?" to "Why doesn't 1600 Penn have a chief of staff character?" (In my opinion, both skirt close enough to reality that those absences strain plausibility in a fashion not excused by their being half-hour comedies.)
